Official Electricity Service Application and KEPCO Contract: Account Holder, Supply Terms, and Facility Surcharge

This section explains the actual process for submitting a new application, as well as the supply start date, the scope of the service connection work, and cost responsibility that should be verified before signing a contract.

First, verify the applicant’s name and rights information.

Verify that the electricity user, the name on the contract, business operator information, and the ownership, usage rights, and agency authority for the site all match. In the event of a corporate change or business transfer, review any changes or succession matters related to existing notices of intent, evaluations, and contracts. Letters of intent from tenants or financial agreements are not considered mandatory documents for all KEPCO applications.

Actual applications must be submitted through official channels.

Check the application type and required documents when applying for new electricity service through KEPCO ON. Select the appropriate menu for expansion or modification. Prepare the required documents—such as drawings of high-voltage power supply facilities, title deeds, consents, and powers of attorney—in accordance with the application requirements and guidance from the relevant authority. Conditions for large-scale power supply to data centers may be discussed separately with the relevant authority.

When selecting a registered electrical contractor, specify the scope of services to be entrusted, such as formal application processing, estimates, construction, and inspection support. Selecting a contractor does not automatically complete the power system impact assessment or KEPCO’s technical review.

Before signing a contract, verify the delivery date and the scope of work.

Compare the contracted power, voltage, contract type, supply point, commercial/reserve supply method, and scheduled supply date. Document the responsibilities for KEPCO-side construction, customer-side construction, securing right-of-way and land use rights, reinforcement work, facility contribution fees, and additional construction costs.

If it is difficult to proceed with the project in accordance with the supply conditions, we will discuss changes to capacity, timing, and design. We distinguish between the supply conditions stated in the contract and the actual completion of construction and inspections, and we do not mislead clients into believing that power can be supplied immediately upon contract signing alone.
