LG Electronics USA signed a definitive long-term agreement with AIR Control Concepts to supply high-efficiency chillers to AI data centers in the United States and Canada. The 5 GW figure is the aggregate scale of the supported data center portfolio, not cooling capacity or secured power in Korea.

LG Electronics will build an air-cooled chiller plant for AI data centers in Virginia and expand its Pyeongtaek and Changwon production lines. This indicates added manufacturing capacity, not a supply contract for a specific data center.

LS ELECTRIC disclosed a contract to supply its U.S. subsidiary with extra-high-voltage transformers for North American hyperscale AI data-center power infrastructure. It is a new order with a different value and term from the August contract.

LG Electronics has been listed as a Preferred Partner in the Power and Cooling category of the NVIDIA Partner Network. This signals an expansion of opportunities for engagement during the early stages of design and is distinct from supply contracts for individual project sites.

The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly develop refrigerants and refrigeration oils and to expand the application of liquid immersion cooling. This is technical development news related to the selection of cooling media for data centers and the review of equipment compatibility.

LG Electronics’ official Korean announcement highlighted the DSX Ready certification for its 2.5 MW-class cooling water distribution unit (CDU). Here, MW refers to cooling capacity, which is different from the power supply capacity at the site.

LG Energy Solution announced that its LFP-based JF2 AC Link BESS has received DSX Ready certification. This is a product-specific technical update highlighting features designed to mitigate AI load fluctuations and enhance grid responsiveness.

LG Electronics has unveiled an air-cooled, oil-free inverter turbo chiller that combines magnetic levitation bearings, refrigerant-based pre-cooling, and a modular piping package, designed to meet the cooling demands of AI data centers.
