GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE

Global Data Center and Power Evidence Map

Explore facilities and public spatial data, and check the source of each location and figure.

The figures below count records per source. Different sources, buildings, campuses or service listings may refer to the same facility, so these are not added up as a worldwide facility total.

WRI power plants are historical records from the 2021 release. Added official records show each source's reference date. Generator coordinates may locate the plant. Generation MW, data-center incoming MW, IT MW, contracts, measured usage and current available capacity are separate measures.

How connections are drawn

OSM telecom lines join source segment endpoints and shared junctions with straight lines. Country and city diagrams from cable announcements are identified separately. Segments with the same name and operator share a color; select a line to view its source. These diagrams do not establish surveyed alignments, data center entry connections or available capacity.

Dashed center connections are scenarios drawn from public locations via nearby public telecom hubs. They do not confirm carrier connectivity, physical fiber or access contracts. Where the cable participant has no documented public hub, the diagram connects the landing area directly to the center.

Coverage and import status

Global facilities and telecom segments are loaded from the database alongside Korean power and telecom records and official cable announcements. Records without source coordinates are not assigned invented lines. This collection is not a complete global inventory.

WRI plants are historical records from the 2021 release. OSM labels do not establish current operation or official power supply. A data center directory listing alone does not establish operating status.

Published evidence of power contracts and capacity

Power supply, grid connection, PPA, IT capacity and lease contracts retain their original announcement bases. Current contract validity, energization and remaining capacity require separate verification. Records without a specified site are not linked to a mapped facility.
